Product Description
Silicon metal, also known as industrial silicon or crystalline silicon, is silver‑grey crystalline material, hard and brittle. It features a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity and superior anti‑oxidation performance. Its particle size generally ranges from 10 mm to 100 mm.
Application
Silicon metal is smelted from quartz stone with SiO₂ content above 98.5% and other auxiliary raw materials. As a fundamental industrial raw material, it has extremely wide applications. It is mainly used for manufacturing organosilicon and polysilicon, and widely applied in aerospace, aviation, electronics, organic chemical industry, smelting, thermal‑insulating refractory materials and other sectors.
Application Industries
Organosilicon Industry: Silicone oil, silicone rubber, silane coupling agents, etc.
Polysilicon Industry: Solar photovoltaic and semiconductor materials.
Aluminum Alloy Industry: Automobile engines, wheel hubs and other components.
